Description

 On Exhibit

We used moose hide along with duffle. That’s all it really took. I never made the fancy kind. My husband would wear them before the Skidoos were around, but he would go through a pair quickly. When he used the Skidoos, they would last longer.

A person would make the things they were skilled at making. They made pairs of moccasins as they saw fit—a pair for winter and a different pair for summer. Shorter ones were worn in summer. Most women knew how to make these.
